Looking for a holiday getaway in tropical Krabi, located in the south of Thailand? Looking to see your work published in one of the leading online and print journals in Thailand and around Asia?

Both and Krabi Magazine are teaming up to bring you the chance to win a trip to tropical paradise Krabi, Thailand.

The contest is simple: we are looking for a story which inspires travel, a story that has taken place abroad. A story of an experience you’ve had personally which can be big or small, simple or complex, the only requirement is that it must reflect you’re growth in some way. The experience must be genuine and be void of vulgar or obscene commentary.

The contest will be split into four categories:

2 written categories:

• Travels in Asia

• Insights/experiences in Krabi, Thailand

2 photography categories:

• Photography Asian portrait

• Photography around Asia

***For the written categories each story must be in English Language and should be at least 1,000 words in total

For the photography categories each entry must contain at least 10 photos***

For the winner of each category the prizes will be as follows:

Travel in Asia:

5 nights in Krabi at Nakamanda hotel, a set menu dinner at Sabai Ba Bar, an elephant ride tour at Elephant Camp Nosey Parker.

Travel in Thailand:

5 nights in Krabi at Aonang Silver Orchid Resort, a set menu dinner at Umberto’s, Full day tour in Phi Phi Island by speed boat.

Photo in Asia:

5 nights in Krabi at Aonang Cliff Beach Resort, a set menu dinner at Jenna’s bistro, an half day spa treatment at Warerak Spa.

Photo Asian Portrait:

5 nights in Krabi at Phra Nang Inn Resort, a set menu dinner at Lae Lai Grill, full day Phang Nga tour plus canoe experience

All submissions must be clearly labeled which category they are to be entered in.

All submissions must be received by December 31st 2015.

**Flights to Krabi, Thailand are not included**

The winning articles will be published in the February and March issues of Krabi Magazine ( and on, the winner will be notified prior to printing.

About the author

Thomas has a university background in the UK and in Latin America, with studies in Languages and Humanities, Culture, Literature and Economics. He started his Asian experience as a publisher in Krabi in 2005. Thomas has been editing local newspapers and magazines in England, Spain and Thailand for more than fifteen years.
