O2 The Residence Kanchanaburi

As part of our 10-day media journey through Kanchanaburi, we had the pleasure of staying at O2 The Residence. Nestled not too far from the serene waters of the River Kwai, this charming boutique property impressed us with its perfect blend of contemporary design and tranquil natural surroundings.

Atmosphere & Ambiance

O2 The Residence main entrance

O2 The Residence exudes a sense of calm and relaxation. The stylishly minimalistic decor, coupled with the natural beauty of the riverfront location, offers an inviting escape from the bustle of everyday life. Its open-air layout and the tasteful use of wood and earth tones allow the interiors to harmonise with the surrounding nature.

Accommodation & Comfort

Our room was spacious and elegantly appointed, embodying the hotel’s signature mix of contemporary and antique styling. From the comfortable bed to modern amenities like a minibar and rain shower, the design strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. Waking up to the calming surroundings added to the sense of retreat.

Our spacious room

The hotel grounds also feature a three-bedroom villa available for private rental, accommodating up to 8 guests. Furnished in the same refined style as the hotel, the villa is spacious and comfortable, offering an exclusive experience that enhances the property’s appeal and versatility.

Dining & Cuisine

The on-site restaurant at O2 The Residence serves a thoughtfully prepared breakfast menu with a selection of Thai and international dishes made from fresh, local ingredients.

The villa’s living room

Although the restaurant is not open for lunch or dinner, the hotel’s convenient city location makes dining options easily accessible. Within walking distance is the TMK shopping mall, where guests can find a supermarket and several great restaurants, offering a variety of lunch and dinner choices.

Activities & Amenities

O2 The Residence features an information desk where guests can explore and book a variety of local activities through the front desk. Options include visits to significant sites like the War museums and cemeteries, the iconic Bridge on the River Kwai, and the natural beauty of Erawan National Park. Additionally, the hotel can arrange a couple of engaging city tours, providing guests with easy access to the cultural and historical highlights of Kanchanaburi.

Service & Hospitality

The team at O2 The Residence went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Their genuine warmth and dedication to making us feel welcome set the tone for our entire stay. The service here was indeed exceptional.
