Singapore Fire Station Reborn as Co-Living & Lifestyle Hub

Singapore is set to unveil a new face of heritage and modern living when the Old Bukit Timah Fire Station reopens in September 2025 as Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station.

This historic landmark, once a working fire station, is being reimagined as a co-living and lifestyle hub that blends architectural preservation with community-driven design. Its transformation offers both residents and visitors a chance to experience Singapore beyond its shopping districts and iconic skyline.

Located along the scenic Rail Corridor, Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station integrates urban living with greenery. The project stays true to the building’s heritage while adding sustainable touches that reflect Singapore’s environmental vision. Features such as solar panels, energy-efficient fittings, bicycle facilities, and EV charging stations ensure the development aligns with eco-friendly values.

Inside, guests will find fully equipped co-living rooms complemented by communal facilities including coworking spaces, a community garden, and flexible social areas. Artisan markets, experiential retail, and family-friendly dining outlets will further animate the space, offering a lively atmosphere that appeals to locals and travelers alike. Regular events and cultural programs will help build a sense of belonging while showcasing the natural surroundings.

Kelvin Lim, executive chairman of LHN Limited and founder of Coliwoo, emphasized the project’s unique positioning: “By preserving the site’s architectural legacy and embedding sustainability into every layer of design, Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station stands as a living example of how heritage, nature, and modern urban living can thrive together.”

Partners such as specialty coffee roaster ST.ALi and children’s swim school aquaDucks underscore the initiative’s community spirit. Its location near Hume MRT Station offers easy access to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, Bukit Batok Nature Park, and the 24-kilometre Rail Corridor, giving travelers a chance to enjoy a slower, greener side of Singapore.

With its unique combination of history, sustainability, and lifestyle amenities, Coliwoo Bukit Timah Fire Station promises to become one of the city’s most exciting new destinations.
