As 2023 begins, we are delighted to share with you the news of hot hotel openings and launches from across Aman, Artyzen Hospitality Group, Belmond and Hyatt, as well as outstanding hotel design by internationally renowned architect-designer Jean-Michel Gathy which we hope will serve as inspiration for travel and trips planning.

Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach

Opened on 16th January 2023

Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the opening of Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach on 16th January 2023, marking the debut of the Andaz brand in Thailand. Nestled across over 15 acres (6.4 hectares) of stunning beachfront land, amid mature trees and gardens overlooking the Gulf of Thailand, this luxury lifestyle resort provides a myriad of ways for guests to express their personal style and connect with the local culture and nature, from destination excursions to authentic dining, wellness and family activities.

Andaz Pattaya Jomtien Beach is a tranquil oceanfront sanctuary on Tawanron Beach – known as “Sunset Beach” for its magnificent sunset views – located between the popular holiday hub of Jomtien and the charming fishing village of Bang Saray and is within a 10-minute drive from most of Pattaya’s scenic and tourism hotspots such as the beautiful rolling green countryside, lakes, wineries, world-class golf courses and cafes. Less than two hours by car from Bangkok and Suvarnabhumi Airport, the resort is in the Na Jomtien area which is poised to become a luxury lifestyle leisure destination as part of the country’s Eastern Economic Corridor development.

Artyzen NEW BUND 31 Shanghai Flagship

Opening in Q3 2023

Set to open in Q3 2023, Artyzen NEW BUND 31 Shanghai is a flagship hotel located in the buzzy art and cultural hub of Shanghai. Designed by the award-winning Neri&Hu Design and Research Office, Artyzen NEW BUND 31 Shanghai is a modern classic, subtly weaving unique Shanghainese aesthetics, art, and cultural temperament into the hotel design and guest experiences. With 202 striking and spacious guest rooms, an expansive floor integrating indoor and outdoor spaces, a destination restaurant, al fresco bars, and one-of-a-kind full event spaces, the landmark property is envisioned to be a place of respite, a place of curiosity, a place of culture.

Artyzen Singapore

Opening in Q4 2023

Inspired by Singapore’s culture, colours, and flavours, Artyzen Singapore is a fresh interpretation of luxury located in the heart of the Orchard Road district, opening in Q4 2023. Embracing its heritage roots, the contemporary hotel comprises 142 rooms and a roof garden that celebrates the Strait’s Chinese heritage.

In partnership with renowned architect ONG&ONG Pte Ltd and interior design studio Nic Graham + Associates, Artzyen Singapore will be transformed into a luxury vertical oasis in the heart of Singapore. The green theme extends to The Roof Garden, a private social destination that is alive with botanical vibes where guests can dip in the 25-metre cantilevered infinity pool and enjoy signature drinks in the sunken lounge.

Janu Tokyo

Completion in Q4 2023

Aman is pleased to announce its first residence-only development, anywhere in the world: Aman Residences, Tokyo, located in the Toranomon-Azabudai development. Aman will debut its sister brand in Japan, Janu, with the unveiling of Janu Tokyo, a luxury hotel within the same urban redevelopment. As an 8.1-hectare hub, the 30-years-in the-making Toranomon-Azabudai project, where both properties are based, is due for completion in late 2023 when it will become the city’s newest landmark. The hotel and residences project heralds a collaboration between Aman and Japan’s leading developer, Mori Building Co. Ltd.

Janu, the sister brand of Aman, is a hotel brand which will bring a contemporary and playful spirit to the Toranomon-Azabudai development, while respecting the sense of place. Representing the brand’s inaugural city hotel, Janu Tokyo will comprise of 120 guest rooms and suites and will occupy a prime position facing the project’s central square within a building identified as the ‘B-2 District Tower’. The hotel will be designed by Denniston under the leadership of Jean-Michel Gathy. Home to a 3,500m² Janu Spa featuring extensive wellness facilities, the property will offer six dining outlets and bars. Janu Tokyo will bring a sense of energy and community to one of Japan’s leading redevelopment projects in the heart of the city.
