InterContinental Danang action-packed calendar of events

InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the five-star sanctuary nestled in 39 hectares of nature on Vietnam’s Son Tra Peninsula, is gearing up for a fun-filled summer season as it invites visitors to discover three months of uplifting experiences – including special events and exclusive appearances – during its 2023 Summer Festival!
From July through September, InterContinental Danang has curated an exciting calendar of things to see and do, covering diverse interests such as food, art, wellness, nature, family and music. Activities are available every day and a series of guest stars will be dropping in to surprise and delight travellers.
Epicurean Adventures:

Pierre Gagnaire will be making a special appearance this summer

Foodies have plenty of mouth-watering moments to savour this summer. Every Wednesday at sunset, The Nam Tram Dining Journey allows couples to embark on a romantic culinary journey aboard the resort’s funicular cable car, with four creative courses served as diners ascend four levels: Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea. Relaxing weekends can be celebrated with Barefoot’s Beach BBQ & Bonfire on Saturday evenings and Champagne Brunch every Sunday at Citron.

Chef Ton will be delighting diners with his Thai cuisine

For a truly exclusive epicurean occasion, guests have the chance to meet Pierre Gagnaire, the multi-Michelin-starred French gastronomic legend. From 12-16 July, Chef Pierre will be making a special appearance to showcase the new menu at La Maison 1888, the resort’s award-winning restaurant. Then on 2nd September, one of Asia’s top culinary masters, Chef Ton from Bangkok, will be revealing the art of Thai cuisine to discerning visitors.
Artistic Experiences:

Bill Bensley, the resort’s architect and designer, will be returning to his breakout project this summer to host a three-day workshop

InterContinental Danang’s highly original design concept was crafted by Bill Bensley, the maverick architect, interior and landscape designer, with a natural vernacular that blends a bold black and white palette with vibrant splashes of color and authentic Vietnamese imagery. From 15-17 September, Discover Your Inner Artist will be a lively, interactive three-day workshop that combines small group talks and art classes led by Bill Bensley himself.
Guests can also browse and purchase original artworks at the BENSLEY Outsider Gallery, an elegant pavilion in a cobblestone courtyard. The proceeds from any sales are donated to charitable causes, including wildlife conservation. The gallery also showcases a collection of customised jewellery by celebrated Australian designer Kate McCoy.

Wellness Retreats:

Energy Zen Retreats will be staged every month

Travellers can embark on a journey to physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing at InterContinental Danang this summer, with a choice of rejuvenating activities. Every day can start with a serene Sunrise Yoga class at the Yoga Pavilion, and the world of Sound Therapy can be explored at Mi Sol Spa, where therapists use tuning forks to create unique wellness rituals.

Once a month, the resort’s wellness professionals will stage Energy Zen Retreats, holistic full-day itineraries that encompass immersive sessions across the resort’s four levels, including healthy cuisine, meditation, yoga, fitness, tai chi, dancing and much more! This summer, retreats will be staged on 6th August and 3rd September.

Family Fun:

Kids can embark on outdoor adventures and learn about nature

Families have an endless array of experiences to keep them entertained this summer. Youngsters can learn all about the wildlife of the Son Tra Peninsula, including the resident population of endangered red-shanked douc langurs, with Kids’ Outdoor Adventures at the resort’s Planet Trekkers Kids Club. Parents and children can then come together and try the world’s fastest-growing racquet sport, Pickleball, at the Sports Centre.
At Citron, the resort’s culinary experts will stage daily Vietnamese Cooking Classes to let all ages learn about the art of local cuisine, and Epic Ice Cream Adventures can be enjoyed at the L_o_n_g Bar – the perfect way to cool down during a day of fun in the sun. For relaxing evenings, the resort’s cinema will be screening a series of classic and blockbuster movies at its Summer Film Festival.

Musical Moments:

The Hat Jazz Band will perform live every Friday

At the end of an action-packed week, music lovers can come together and unwind with the soothing sound of Sunset Jazz at the Buffalo Bar. The talented Hat Jazz Band will play live, creating the perfect backdrop to every Friday evening on the sea-facing terrace. Budding pop stars can also enjoy Karaoke Fun at M Rouge.
With such an amazing array of activities to enliven every adventure, from family vacations to couples’ escapes, gastronomic getaways and wellness retreats, InterContinental Danang is the perfect place to stay this summer. For full details of the 2023 Summer Festival, please visit
