Spanish Michelin-Starred Chef Culinary Journey At Lay Beach Club

Famed Spanish chef Manuel Alonso will craft a remarkable tapas experience and Spanish wine tasting

Famed Spanish chef Manuel Alonso will craft a remarkable tapas experience and Spanish wine tasting titled “Sabores del Mar”, which means “flavours of the sea”, on March 31 this year at Pattaya‘s new Lay Beach Club. He will join forces with Meliá Pattaya Hotel’s executive Chef Thaneht (Keng) Naovarat, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit’s Spanish Chef de Cuisine Juan Ignacio García Racionero, and Meliá Koh Samui’s executive chef Lluis Cantons for the “eight hands chef collaboration” from 6-9pm.

Priced at THB 3888 nett per person, Sabores del Mar will feature an array of stations brimming with authentic Spanish fare such as Spanish octopus and pork neck skewer, sobrasada and quail egg, Alicante-style rice and fideua, garlic shrimp casserole, a Spanish cheese board with artisanal breads, and omelette with ham and tomato bread. The tapas will be paired with a selection of white and red Spanish wines.

Lay Beach Club at Meliá Pattaya Hotel

Meliá Pattaya Hotel, which debuted on February 14 this year, and manages Lay Beach Club on Beach Road, is offering a stay on March 31 in its Deluxe Room, Deluxe Seaview Room and Premium Room, priced at THB 11,300 nett, THB 11,800 nett and THB 12,500 nett respectively. The stay includes access for two guests to Sabores del Mar as well as breakfast for two the following morning.

Inspired by his family’s culinary legacy, Chef Alonso has dedicated four decades to Casa Manolo in Valenica, Spain.
