Mount Faber Leisure Group (MFLG) announced today that starting mid-November 2025, 13 new SkyOrb cabins will be added to the Singapore Cable Car’s Mount Faber Line, bringing the total fleet to twenty. This expansion follows the positive response to the initial seven cabins, making the SkyOrb experience more accessible to visitors.
As part of the group’s vision to deliver cutting-edge, experiential attractions, the expanded fleet now enables a full round-trip journey on the Mount Faber Line—connecting mainland Singapore to Sentosa—replacing the previous one-way rides and greatly increasing capacity.
Introducing the World’s First SkyOrb Cabin

Unveiled in March 2024, the SkyOrb Cabin is the world’s first chrome-finished spherical cable car. Designed in Olten, Switzerland, these fifth-generation cabins feature illuminated rings on both sides, creating a sleek, futuristic chrome aesthetic that enhances Singapore’s skyline.
The spherical design offers a striking departure from conventional cabins. Each cabin features glass floors, providing visitors with panoramic views of the scenery below and the skyline ahead. For comfort, the cabins are equipped with double louvered windows at the front and triple at the rear, ensuring excellent air ventilation during the ride from Mount Faber Station to Sentosa.
