LAUNCH OF THE TOKYO EDITION, GINZA

EDITION Hotels celebrated the official launch of its 19th global property, The Tokyo EDITION, Ginza, marking the brand’s second venture in Tokyo. The launch events, held on March 14th and 15th, welcomed both international and local VIP guests to both EDITION hotels in Tokyo for a celebration of Japanese modern and traditional cultures, accompanied by delectable cuisine and captivating performances.

Dinner was a culinary delight featuring the finest seasonal ingredients

On the evening of March 14th, guests gathered at the 14-storey boutique hotel and made their way to Sophie at EDITION, the hotel’s Japanese-infused modern brasserie. Dinner was a culinary delight featuring the finest seasonal ingredients sourced directly from local suppliers. Dishes such as Grilled Salmon with Wilted Spinach and Horseradish Sauce, and Roasted Whole Chicken with Tokyo Yuzu Pepper and Fresh Herb Sauce were savored. The night continued with a mesmerizing performance by N’Dea Davenport and DJ sets by renowned artists including Nick Grimshaw, AMIAYA, and Daito Manabe infusing Sophie at EDITION with pulsating beats and an electrifying atmosphere, making it a standout moment in Tokyo’s vibrant nightlife scene.

Meanwhile, guests at the hotel enjoyed punch cocktails at Punch Room, EDITION’s global cocktail bar concept inspired by 19th-century London private clubs. This intimate lounge, the first of its kind in Japan, offered an authentic punch bowl ritual and featured performances by Kona Rose and DJ sets by SHUZO, YAMATO, and Sunny. The Lobby Bar, situated on the ground floor, provided a chic backdrop for VIPs to mingle and celebrate amidst ivory fabric armchairs and a statement sofa, with the city’s elite posing in front of the hotel’s central artworks.

On the second day of EDITION Hotel’s Tokyo takeover, guests were treated to champagne with breathtaking views of Tokyo Tower at The Tokyo EDITION, Toranomon, before indulging in a sumptuous dinner at The Jade Room + Garden Terrace, the hotel’s signature restaurant by British chef Tom Aikens. The evening continued with festivities at Gold Bar at EDITION, where DJs Mademoiselle Yulia, YOSHIROTTEN, PELI, Aimee Phillips, and Nick Grimshaw kept the party going until the early hours, attracting international stars like Peggy Gou, Fai Khadra, and Dita Von Teese.
