Unlike many conventional water parks that feel like vast fields of concrete and exposed fiberglass, Ramayana has been carefully integrated into its natural surroundings. Designed around the thematic concept of a long-lost ancient city, the park is filled with subtle architectural details, stone-carved ruins, and shaded pathways lined with tropical flora.

Tucked neatly into a quiet, breezy zone of the park, our cabana served as our private sanctuary throughout the day. Outfitted with comfortable loungers, a cooling ceiling fan, personal power outlets, and a secure digital locker, it gave us a stress-free base camp. We could leave our cameras, dry clothes, and personal belongings safely locked away while we hit the water. Whenever Leonardo needed a quick hydration break or my wife and I wanted to step out of the sun for a moment of quiet relaxation, our private cabana was waiting—allowing us to pace ourselves for what turned out to be an eight-hour aquatic marathon.

Built for Young Explorers

One of the greatest challenges for families traveling with eight-year-olds is finding an attraction that strikes the right balance between safety and thrill. At eight, children are often too old for simple toddler splash pads, yet they may not quite meet the height restrictions—or possess the appetite—for heart-stopping, 16-meter vertical drop slides.

This is precisely where Ramayana excels. The park features over 20 world-class water slides, categorized thoughtfully by intensity. What makes it exceptionally family-friendly is that children over 106 cm can access almost every single slide in the park, with the exception of the most extreme speed traps like the Aqualoop and Free Fall.

For Leonardo, this meant a vast playground of medium-intensity descents that delivered all the excitement of a “big kid” park without feeling overwhelming. He spent hours mastering the park’s multi-lane racer slides and curved tube rides:

• The Spiral & Serpentine: Excellent, smooth-flowing tube slides that allowed Leonardo to ride alongside us in double rafts, twisting through translucent tunnels with bright visual effects.

• Mat Racer: A friendly head-to-head racing slide where Leonardo loved competing against other kids at random, zooming down belly-first on soft mats to see who could create the biggest splash at the finish line.

The height standards and gentle water-landing zones allowed Leonardo to build his confidence quickly, transitioning from riding double tubes with us to eagerly climbing the slide towers on his own.

The Main Event: Leonardo’s Love Affair

While the slides provided plenty of bursts of adrenaline, there was one attraction that stole Leonardo’s heart above all others: The Lazy Wavy River.

Calling Ramayana’s river “lazy” is almost a misnomer—it is a 600-meter-long continuous water journey that winds gracefully around the perimeter of an ancient hill. It is officially the longest lazy river in Thailand, and it feels more like a scenic jungle boat ride than a pool.

Leonardo was completely captivated by its design. Floating along on a single tube (or sometimes just swimming freely alongside us with his life jacket), he navigated a route filled with interactive surprises: Mystical Grottoes & Caves: Dark, cool tunnels carved into artificial rock faces featuring misty water curtains and ambient light. Geysers & Water Bubblers: Unexpected jets of water shooting from the riverbed that kept Leonardo laughing and trying to steer his tube through the spray. Gentle Waves: Periodic wave generators that created small, ocean-like swells along specific stretches of the river, turning a tranquil float into a playful bobbing adventure.

We lost count of how many laps we completed around the 600-meter loop. For Leonardo, the Lazy River wasn’t just a place to relax between slides; it was an ongoing adventure zone where he could float, splash, dive, and explore to his heart’s content.

Culinary Delights & Cashless Convenience

A non-stop day of swimming, climbing towers, and battling waves burns calories at an astonishing rate. Fortunately, Ramayana’s approach to food and beverage services is designed to be as seamless and enjoyable as its aquatic attractions.

One of the most frustrating aspects of visiting a water park can be managing money while wet. Ramayana solves this entirely with a cashless RFID wristband system. Upon arrival, guests can load credit onto their wristbands using cash or card at the front desk or top-up kiosks. Whenever Leonardo wanted a cold bottle of water, a fresh fruit smoothie, or an afternoon ice cream, a simple scan of the wristband completed the transaction in seconds. We enjoyed a relaxed lunch at a shaded outdoor table overlooking the central lake, marveling at how refreshing it was to enjoy genuinely flavorful, high-quality food inside an amusement park setting.

From a parental standpoint, what impressed my wife and me most was the rigorous attention to safety and hygiene evident throughout the park.

Ramayana employs over 100 internationally certified lifeguards who are stationed strategically at every slide entrance, landing pool, wave pool, and along the entire length of the Lazy River. Their vigilance was constant—monitoring child heights, ensuring proper raft posture, and maintaining clear spacing between riders. Furthermore, the water throughout the park is filtered using state-of-the-art multi-stage purification systems utilizing crystal-clear groundwater from the park’s own deep wells, making it clean enough to meet drinking standards.

It is also clear that Ramayana’s management is dedicated to constant improvement. From dawn until dusk, Leonardo could be found splashing in the crystalline water while we soaked in the panoramic views stretching from the Chao Phraya River to the city’s distant horizons. What the brochures don’t tell you is how the light changes up there – golden at sunrise, blinding white at noon, and softly amber as the city starts to twinkle below.

Our Home Above the City

Our room was spacious enough to feel like a true urban sanctuary – one of 208 rooms across the property, each designed with the same contemporary flair. The generous sofa was transformed daily into Leonardo’s own bed by the thoughtful turndown service, a detail that made him feel like a VIP guest in his own right. Crisp white walls, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a pop of pink in the ensuite created a contemporary space that felt both luxurious and family-friendly. What caught our attention were the thoughtful touches: a restored vintage rotary phone on the bedside table, a Marshall amp in the lounge, and the hotel’s trademark wink logo appearing on everything from cups to towels. The room wasn’t just a place to sleep – it was part of the experience, with the cityscape unrolling beneath us like a living map.

The Kites Eatery: A Culinary Journey Through Thailand

Eating at The Kites Eatery on the 31st floor was an experience in itself. The restaurant’s retro design – 1970s-inspired with modern touches – features kite artwork adorning the walls, referencing the popular pastime of kite flying at Sanam Luang state park, with graphic glass walls depicting myriad kites in flight. Floor-to-ceiling windows frame uninterrupted city views, making every meal feel special. Open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., the eatery serves up central, northern, northeastern, and southern Thai cuisine à la minute, using quality ingredients sourced from local farms – a commitment we could taste in every bite.

The highlight was the pinto lunch experience, available daily from noon to 3 p.m. A pinto is a traditional Thai multi-tiered food container, reminiscent of an Indian tiffin carrier, historically used by workers and schoolchildren to carry homemade meals. Each tier contains a different dish – rice, curries, stir-fried vegetables – carefully stacked and served for a nostalgic dining experience that’s both visually striking and deeply satisfying. We tried two different four-course sets, all delicately prepared with fresh, local ingredients under the guidance of Executive Chef Katisak Pinkaew and his team. Each pinto was beautifully presented with perfectly balanced flavors, showcasing the best of Thai cuisine in an authentic and memorable way. The concept resonated with Leonardo, who delighted in uncovering each layer of the pinto, as if unwrapping a present. For families, it’s also wonderfully practical – no juggling multiple plates, just one beautiful stack of discovery.

A Coffee Break with a View

On the 34th floor, adjacent to the Open Living Lobby, we discovered the hotel’s “Brew and Bite Delight” promotion – available as a hot or cold set from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. It offers freshly brewed coffee paired with what might just be the best croissant in Bangkok, one that could make a French baker envious. The 1980s background music, unobstructed views over the city, and proximity to the Chao Phraya River create a perfect mid-day escape. We lingered longer than planned, watching the traffic crawl far below while feeling utterly removed from it all – a rare luxury in a city as frenetic as Bangkok.

Luz Tapas Bar: Spain Meets Bangkok

But dinner was the pièce de résistance. At Luz Bangkok Tapas Bar on the 33rd floor, the atmosphere shifts to elegant and romantic, with gold wires criss-crossing the ceiling in tribute to the Rama VIII Bridge – a design feature that becomes even more striking at night when the lighting catches the metallic angles. Under the stewardship of Madrid-born Juan Ignacio García Racionero, who has honed his craft at some of Spain’s finest kitchens, Luz offers authentic Spanish tapas, wines, beer on tap, cocktails, and signature sangrias, inviting diners on a culinary pilgrimage across Spain with a dynamic variety of local Thai ingredients embellished with Spanish flavours. Open from 4 p.m. until midnight, the tapas bar also offers a spectacle unlike any other in Bangkok – guests can peer directly into the underside of the infinity pool above, a surreal design twist that drew gasps from our table.

The real magic, however, happened when Nacho visited our table to personally describe each tapas dish as it arrived. We were treated to a parade of Spanish classics: Serrano ham, pan con tomate, olives, croquettes, tochos, Roman salad, and artichokes. Each morsel was crafted with care, and the hospitality was warm and generous. We opted for the chef’s recommended dinner, and washed it down with Luz signature cocktails first and red wine to follow. Leonardo, meanwhile, devoured a perfectly prepared burger while my wife and I enjoyed natilla and arroz con leche for dessert. Closing my eyes, surrounded by the twinkling lights of Bangkok’s skyline, the night view merging with the rooftop atmosphere, I was briefly transported to Spain – not bad for a family evening in Bangkok.

The Architecture: A Love Letter to Bangkok

What makes this hotel truly special is its design philosophy. The interiors draw inspiration from the city’s iconic landmarks: the Chao Phraya River, Wat Pho, and Wat Phra Kaew. Each floor features original art pieces and line-drawing murals of Bangkok’s temple skyline. The building’s most dramatic feature is its inverted lantern design – the tower cantilevers outward as it climbs, defying conventional architecture. The lobby’s suspended cloud of frosted glass globes cascading down a mirrored ceiling sets a theatrical tone that elevates the entire experience.

The Magic View: Day and Night

Throughout our stay, the ever-changing view was our constant companion. From our room, from The Kites Eatery, from the pool, and from the tapas bar, Bangkok revealed itself in infinite variations. By day, the city’s sprawling urban tapestry, the Chao Phraya River’s winding curves, and the distant temples. By night, a glittering galaxy of lights stretching to the horizon. Guests consistently praise the rooftop pool as a highlight, with stunning views and a spectacular vantage point over the city – and after two days up there, we understood why. The view became our internal clock: morning coffee with the rising sun, afternoon swims under hazy heat, evening tapas as the city flickered to life.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to climb over a thousand steps with a two-year-old? I did, and I’m excited to share our unforgettable adventure to Sigiriya Fortress—also known as Lion’s Rock.

For our family, every day on this trip to Sri Lanka was a new mission for out toddler, and today’s challenge was to reach the top of that imposing rock and be awed by the breathtaking landscape. The journey began with a walk from our accommodation in Kimbissa to catch the bus that would take us to the climbing site. Once there, instead of taking a tuk-tuk, we chose to stroll along a dirt track, feeling the reddish-brown earth beneath our feet, surrounded by wild scenery and the sounds of nature. What should have taken about 15 minutes turned into a leisurely 40-minute walk filled with dancing, singing, and playing with Sebastian. It was pure magic—just us, nature, and our little explorer.

At the entrance, we found two lines—one for Sri Lankan citizens and one for foreigners—set amidst a lively park teeming with monkeys. After another 40-minute wait, we finally entered and began our ascent. The top of Sigiriya was hidden behind a thick cloud, hinting at impending rain, but our spirits remained high. We had a mission to accomplish, and we were determined.

The stairs loomed ahead. Was Sebastian scared? Tired? Not at all. He eagerly started climbing, eager to reach the fortress’s summit. Step after step—20, 50, nearly 100—he was focused and unstoppable. At times, we had to gently place him in a carrier to protect his hips from the long climb (1200 steps!), but even that didn’t dampen his enthusiasm. We pressed on, and just as we were about to reach the final steps, two unexpected adventures unfolded.

First, a mischievous monkey, from a distance, leapt toward us and snatched a sealed pack of crackers from my sport sling. Clearly, monkeys are more athletic and food-savvy than us! Sebastian found the whole scene hilarious—monkeys, food, and all. Then, just as we were processing this, rain began pouring down—our funniest moment of the day.

Suddenly, Sebastian and I were jumping in puddles, splashing on the rocks, and reveling in the fortress ruins as if we were alone. Marco, caught in the rain, sought shelter with everyone else, but we didn’t mind. The rain slowed, clouds parted, and we were treated to a stunning view of the various levels of Lion’s Rock. We explored as much as possible, sliding down handrails and soaking in the scenery.

Our final stop was a spiral staircase leading to a chamber with exquisite frescoes of the Sigiriya maidens—painted directly onto the rock face over 1,500 years ago. It was a perfect ending to a day full of adventure.

Exhausted, wet, and slightly hungry, we made our way back to our B&B, saying goodbye to the monkeys and macaques along the way. We shared the last of our snacks, feeling grateful for the day’s adventures. Despite the unpredictable weather, we discovered that traveling with a toddler often reveals hidden resources within ourselves—resilience, patience, and the ability to find joy in every unexpected moment.

Following Sebastian’s lead turned our climb into a magical family adventure, reminding us that sometimes, the best journeys are those that embrace spontaneity and the surprises along the way.

We got picked up from our hotel in town by Mr Hoang who came on a Ford SUV accompanied by a young and affable Miss Lee, who Leonardo immediately liked. Hoang negotiated the morning traffic of Nha Trang and soon we left the busy town, passing the outskirts and dozens of nice, traditional market villages. It was not long before we hit nature. Outside, only a winding mountain road flanked by papaya, banana and mango plantations.

It was a cloudy day, perfect for a mountain trip. Leonardo and I had been in Vietnam for over 20 days and had only experienced hot sunny days, scooter drives and and beach time. Nature was indeed a nice change. The road finally got smaller and smaller, and bumpier as well. Hoang informed us Kong Forest Adventure Park is about 40km from town and 20km from Hon Ba Mountain peak.

Apart from nice cool temperatures, Hon Ba Mountain doesn’t have spectacular views and it is not a known tourist sport as such, but the fact that makes it worthwhile to visit is that it is where the Swiss-born French bacteriologist and doctor Alexandre Yersin chose to climb more than 100 years ago, and where he decided to live to do his pharmaceutical research. Back to our trip, it wasn’t long before we reached the entrance of Kong Forest Adventure Park. Rain started to fall as we descended the car. Hoang and Lee took us to reception, where we changed our clothes and went straight down to Suoi Nguon, a large basin fed by three streams and surrounded by boulders and small waterfalls. Despite the cloudy day and the cold water, Leonardo and I dived in and enjoyed a cool swim. Up on the hillside, a series of small cabanas host guests who come here to eat, drink and enjoy the cool atmosphere, and not necessarily to take part of the several activities on offer. In fact, Kong Forest Adventure Park is also a nice place to just go to and enjoy food and friend’s company in the midst of nature. Their restaurant serves roasted jungle pig, a local delicacy! It was Saturday, so by lunch time all cabanas were occupied by Vietnamese from Ho Chi Minh, a 4 hours drive away, families and groups of friends who had come to enjoy the Hon Ba nature.

As we later ventured into the depths of Kong Forest accompanied by Hoang, who is a wealth of information about the camp and the area, we were instantly enveloped by the serene beauty of the surrounding landscape. The dense foliage, teeming with diverse flora and fauna, created an amazing atmosphere. We visited the Zip Line starting platform and the ATV headquarters, so we had an idea of what we wanted to try.

They have a nice list of adrenaline-pumping outdoor activities closely tied to the nature and the environment waiting for customers to explore: Zipline Canopy Tour, ATV Tour, Hiking, Rafting, Camping. You can also stay overnight at Kong Forest: a few tepee-like tents dot the area, and there is a central common area for evening groups and BBQs under the stars.

What truly set Kong Forest apart was its family-friendly approach. With my 5-year-old Leonardo in tow, I was delighted to find a range of activities tailored to him as well. Leonardo was introduced to the joys of nature through a short nature walk, and the excitement on Leonardo’s face as he learned about the environment was truly heartwarming. Kong Forest provided ample opportunities to immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the surroundings. The gentle stroll through the forest unveiled hidden waterfalls, tranquil streams, and stunning vistas. The air was filled with the sweet scent of wildflowers, and the symphony of chirping birds added to the enchanting ambiance.

ATV Adventure: A Heart-Pounding Ride

Eventually I let Leonardo chose the activity, and he went for ATV with hardly any hesitation at all. The ATV adventure was exhilarating. After the staff trained the whole group on the tricks of manoeuvring an ATV, we started the hard but exciting drive through rugged trails that led us deeper into the forest. The roar of the engines and the thrill of navigating the terrain provided an adrenaline rush like no other. The trails were thoughtfully designed to cater to all skill levels, ensuring an enjoyable experience for both seasoned riders and novices. We did the short version of the tour, as the long one is quite tiring and takes about 2 hours to complete. The ATV adventure left our hearts pounding, and Leonardo looks of approval made me proud of this whole Vietnam adventure I had designed for him.

The park owners and staff cohabit with the local mountain people of the Raglai ethnic group, and provided a temple for them and for anyone else wishing to pray in. The project is respectful of nature and during construction, they did not fell trees unnecessarily.

As a parent traveling with a child and on the lookout for memorable experiences that my kid and I can cherish together, the Ambassador Dinner Cruise in Halong Bay exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, it was an enchanting journey that left both Leonardo and I absolutely delighted. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of amazing.

The highlight of the Ambassador Dinner Cruise evening was undoubtedly the dinner. We indulged in a lavish feast with two menu options: International cuisine, a selection of characteristic style cooking from many nations around the world; and Thai cuisine, highlights on casually prepared dishes with strong aromatic components and a spicy edge. Ambassador Dinner Cruis style is to create a recurring theme and change it every 2 weeks, and that particular week was dedicated to Thailand.

The variety of dishes served was impressive, catering to diverse tastes, including Leonardo‘s more selective palate. The waitresses were incredibly considerate, offering child-friendly options and chatting with Leonardo to make him feel at home. The fact that my child, who can be a picky eater, devoured his meal was a testament to the quality of the cuisine.

Entertainment onboard was equally engaging for all ages. From live music that had my child tapping their feet to mesmerising views that left us both in awe, there was never a dull moment. The crew went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and entertained throughout the cruise.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over Halong Bay, the sense of serenity and tranquility was palpable. This all changed when we transferred to the 4th floor Sundeck to enliven the night and enjoy an evening of music and dance. The stage first featured live music by the Filipino band. This followed by an upbeat DJ remix and hot dance performance by models and professional dancers. But the cherry on the cake was the appearance of the Thai ladyboys cabaret and dance. It was a fascinating and sizzling entertainment experience that my boy and I will not forget.

In conclusion, the Ambassador Dinner Cruise in Halong Bay is a must-do for parents looking to create unforgettable memories with their children. This enchanting experience offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, family-friendly activities, delectable dining, entertainment and genuine hospitality. He loved the view

Big resorts are particularly popular amongst families, and for good reasons. Family resorts are often made up of a large hotel, plus surrounding facilities and venues like restaurants, pools, or private beaches where you can spend a relaxing holiday with your kids. While most of the largest resorts in the world have been established in the USA, Leonardo and I found one in Vietnam that was more than large enough to spend a week or two there, or even a whole month! Shame we only had a few days to enjoy it. This resort is Alma, in the amazing area called Cam Ranh, near the southern city of Nha Trang.

Not that neighbouring resorts were much smaller: it seems that, thanks to its wide and long beach and the lots of land available, the Cam Ranh peninsula has attracted the investment of big groups who went for large plots and built family-friendly resorts. These attract both locals from all over Vietnam (and this was the case during our stay, due to summer local holiday season) and foreigners from different part of the world.

Back to Alma, resorts don’t get much more comprehensive than that: 14 bars and restaurants, 12 pools, a private beach, a cinema, a kids’ club, a science museum, a Spa, a mini-golf course, an amphitheatre, a cinema, a VR games room, a water sports centre, a waterpark with slides, a mini market, a fully equipped gym, a youth centre and a conference centre.

I was immediately impressed by the huge lobby with its very high ceilings and its special architecture; from there we could see the amazing resort grounds all the way to the sea. We followed the staff to the check in lounge, and we walked through amazingly manicured gardens. The landscaping is fantastic, hands down to the gardeners team for maintaining such perfection around the resort greeneries.

The lounge was spacious with check in facilities and complimentary cookies, fruit, tea and coffee. Despite the resort looking very busy, we were welcomed by lovely staff and received a VIP treatment, which Leonardo enjoyed very much. The higher level of organisation could be seen from the very first 30 minutes we spent at the resort.

Their Director of Marketing Communication, Mildred Amon, was at the lounge while we checked in, and we had a nice chat. I discovered that the resort was running at 100% occupancy and that at that particular time, Alma had 3200 guests, serviced by 800 staff! She also told me about the amazing site of the plot where Alma sits: 30 hectares. Alma is so vast that a whole team drive dozens of golf buggies, whizzing around the resort’s paths, collecting customers from any point, and dropping to wherever within the resort they wish to go, 16 hours a day.

Mildred then escorted us to our room, on the 14th floor of the North Tower. The stylish suite was remarkably spacious, at least 80 sqm, with a large terrace from where to marvel at the entire resort, and at the ocean. A spectacular view Leonardo and I enjoyed for the whole of our stay at Alma. Our suite had a huge lounge with a small service toilet and a fully-equipped kitchen which had a large fridge/freezer, four hobs, an oven and a microwave, a fancy coffee machine with pods to use, and a bottle of quality red wine as a welcome drink.

The sofa was so comfortable and the TV was large and Smart, though Leonardo and I did not get to use it much. The double bedroom had an en-suite tub and a shower room with bathroom amenities of very good quality, and the bed was amazing. There is more: housekeeping was done twice daily by wonderful staff who did an excellent job.

The food

One thing Alma is good at is food, and for a reason. First of all, they have 14 (yes fourteen!) between bars and restaurants.

The breakfast buffet at Alma Garden was huge and had a wide range of choices of asian and western dishes, and many different cooking stations for everything you could wish for – and more – including pastries, hams and meats, eggs to order, Vietnamese noodles and a machine for help-yourself pancakes (a hit with kids). Some room rates include breakfast choice at La Casa for Italian great options.

For food and snacks outside usual meals hours can be had at the American Bar, at the Beach Bar – with its menu of soft drinks, cocktails, beers and light bites – and at Chilli’s Snacks & Bar, two American food trucks set up outside the amphitheatre, where they shows movies under the stars.

Meals can be had at Italian restaurant La Casa (dinner only), which serves Italian favourites plus an amazing pizza, at the beachfront restaurant Atlantis, and at the Alma Lounge and Alma Garden. All restaurants are lovely in style and always had something to eat, whether it was Asian style or European.

But let me also mention the resort Food Court, a casual dining spot with rotating food trucks – Little New York, The French Bakery and The Noodle House to name some – for an easy-peasy self-serve meal; and the supermarket, where you can buy stuff to eat/cook later in the comfort of your room, and that helps a lot when you have a picky kid.

And for the kids?

Well, the kids at Alma get extremely spoiled, to the point we can state that Alma is the perfect place for your next family getaway, believe me. There are full indoor and outdoor activities to keep them busy

Splash Water Park

Offsprings can be booked into the Kids’ Club, complete of ball pens, climbing frames, an arts and crafts area, library, nap zone as well as piles of toys and games, as well as a huge kids-only pool complete with mushroom fountains and water games. They also have periodic singing and dancing lessons, cooking classes and team games. Leonardo enjoyed his time there.

There is also a Youth Club where teenagers can enjoy billiard, table tennis, table hockey and video games, as well as a chill-out space with bean bags. Leonardo’s favourite was the virtual reality game. There is also a minigolf area.

Water seems to be the biggest kids’ attraction at Alma. The top feature is the Splash Park, Alma’s signature water park. It’s huge and it features a wave pool, kid’s pool and water slides, as well as an amazing lazy river with a strong current. Then there are the pools. 12 of them! They start at the lounge area and cascade down all the way to the beach. One day we treated ourselves and tried them all. Some are more suitable for kids as they have a wide, shallow water area with chairs and fountains. In some the water is deep so they are not ideal for toddlers without inflatables. Leonardo is an excellent swimmer and showed off his skill in each of the pools. The pools are kept very clean, and there is never a problem finding a sun-bed despite the high number of guests in the resort. We ended the experience with a snack BBQ and a drink at the beach bar, then took a stroll along the pristine beach.

Let me also tell you what we didn’t get to do at Alma, mostly for lack of time. There is a Science Museum promoting interactive learning through a host of exhibits focused on mind-boggling wonders. There is a 400-seat, 1000 square metre Amphitheater ideal for outdoor events. There is a 75-seat private Cinema airing three films a day with movies for all ages. There is a Karaoke Rooms comprising five sound-proof karaoke rooms. And last but not least, the sporting facilities range from a water sports centre kayaking and bodyboarding, a beachfront football field, and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, an outdoor archery range, an 18-hole putting green, open-air exercise stations and a giant chess board. 

And for the guests’ necessities, there is an internal minimart selling vacation essentials, a Gift Shop offering souvenirs such as local handicrafts, and a Tour Desk helping guests orchestrate day trips and excursions in the local area.

All the above could not be possible without Alma’s lovely and attentive team. We were impressed by the complete hospitality of the staff, by the fact that despite the property was extremely busy, everything seemed under control and we could always see smiles on everyone’s face. The staff in general were friendly and accommodating, professional, polite and welcoming. They all went out of their ways to make sure we felt comfortable, and made our stay even more unique.

Epilogue

Alma for us has been one of the best resorts in our trip to Vietnam. Alma made us feel at home, and there’s so much to keep children of all ages entertained – both day and night – that I never heard the words “I’m bored” from Leonardo.

The quality at Alma is high, and prices are affordable; the only thing i could wish for was to have more days to spend there so we could explore everything on offer. 

I recommend Alma to anyone, with or without kids, looking for an amazing holiday in Vietnam!
