On the thrilling Tiger Safari, one of the experienced guides told us the real mythological story about the National Park. I’m here to share with you my insane experience of Tiger Safari in Bandhavgarh National Park and Tiger Reserve.

How We Arrived at Bandhavgarh National Park?

The lush jungle of Bandhavgarh National Park

As there is every possible way to reach centrally located National Park of India (one of Best Asia Destinations), whether you choose by air, on the road or by railways. The nearest railway station to reach the Park are Umri Railway Station, which is about 35kms from the Park and the second closest is Katni Railway Station which is approx 100 km from the Jungle.

People from abroad can choose any International Airport as this place is Centrally located in India. We wanted the Air medium to reach Bandhavgarh National Park that is Jabalpur Airport which is about 200 km from the Park, which took nearly 4 hours to reach Bandhavgarh.

Where We Stayed?

Bandhav Vilas

Bandhavgarh National Park offers you plenty of scenic resorts, as it is situated in the Satpura Hills of central India (one of Best Asia Destinations) We booked Bandhav Vilas, which was the luxurious jungle resort of the place, located at the edge of the Tiger Reserve.

This reserve is the closest to Tala Gate, which opens the door to explore the territory of the regal Tigers. After checking in, our eyes got allured by the traditional interior of the Luxurious Resort of the Jungle, it was filled with ecstatic comfort, rich in scenic beauty, spacious with a modern touch.

How was Tiger Safari?

After having done with the morning breakfast, we were booked for the morning slot of the Jungle Safari. It was really a thrilling morning being in the Jungle with members of the family. Bandhavgarh National Park and Tiger Reserve have a high density of Tigers.

Bandhavgarh National Park and Tiger Reserve

In our first Tiger Safari in Bandhavgarh wasn’t that good, as we could not spot a Tiger. 2nd morning of Bandhavgarh National Park Tour brought us good fortune, our second Tiger Safari started from the resort to the Magadhi Zone, a buffer zone of the Jungle. This Fortunate Jungle Safari made us overwhelmed by causing us to sight a Tiger, Yes! We spotted a Tigress called Solo.

On our third day, we revisited the Tala Zone, the day was dominated by elephants. Our guide suggested us to go for an Elephant Safari, initially hesitant, I decided to go for it just to explore woods and wildlife. And seriously, it was the best decision. We spotted the oldest Leopard, Royal Fox, Nilgai, and many langurs.

How much does Tiger Safari in Bandhavgarh Costs?

Madhya Pradesh forest department has recently announced enigmatic changes in the Safari prices. If we were astounded by knowing the Bandhavgarh Safari Costs and the significant changes which are implemented. They are:

  • Whether you are Indian or foreigners, the fee charges would be the same.
  • VIP zones have been banned by the Govt.
  • Single-seat online tickets could be purchased from the official forest sites.
  • Wait-Listed Safari permit concept-if your tickets are not confirmed, the amount will be refunded.

As it charges us Rs. 360/- Guide charge on each ride and the hire charge per vehicle or Jeep safari in Bandhavgarh National Park is Rs. 2500/-. It was a worthy ride.

Assured, the Bandhavgarh National Park renders you the best Tiger Safari in India, hope because of the maximum number of the ‘Jungle King’. Also, it’s rich biodiversity makes this Tiger Reserve the most-visited by tourists. It was one among many insane experiences in the wild woods of Bandhavgarh National Park and Tiger Reserve.
