From self-care to social-connection, TIA Wellness Resort in Vietnam is launching new social wellness experiences that bring guests together for healing and support. From a ‘Release and Renewal Fire Ceremony’ to ‘Sound and Stillness – A Collective Resonance Ritual’, TIA is creating spaces for connection that move beyond group classes. A 2025 report from the World Health Organization’s Commission on Social Connection highlighted how widespread and serious social isolation and loneliness is within society. The landmark report calls on all sectors to treat social health with the same level of importance as we do mental and physical health. “Our social wellness activities provide a container for people to gather, reflect and release,” explained Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. “The experiences may be rooted in inner reflection, but going through the process with others, and under the guidance of a facilitator provides a higher level of support and a feeling of community.” Held each week on Friday at 6pm, the 30-minute Release and Renewal Fire Ceremony invites guests to pause, reflect, and take part in a symbolic ritual of release. Guests think about what they are ready to release — any thoughts, emotions, or patterns that feel heavy or no longer serve them. They write them down and then place the paper into the fire, symbolically letting go. After that guests are invited to set a personal intention — something they wish to welcome, cultivate, or create in their lives. This intention is written down and also put in the fire, as guests engage in a ritual of transformation. “The fire serves as a visual and energetic focal point, supporting a sense of closure, clarity, and forward movement,” said Ramon. “This shared yet deeply personal experience fosters emotional release, intention setting, and a renewed sense of lightness, allowing guests to move through their TIA journey with greater awareness and presence.” Sound and Stillness – A Collective Resonance Ritual is a sensory-based experience that takes place in the garden of the Wellness Center. Fragrant rosewood, dense mangroves, towering ferns, taro, and vibrant parakeet flowers grow in abundance within the tropical garden. Nature is the backdrop for an immersive soundscape where wind chimes, singing bowls, and simple instruments are arranged to create sound stations. In the 30-minute session, held each Wednesday at 5pm, guests are first guided to pause, breathe, and settle into the moment, before choosing an intention or feeling that they wish to cultivate. They are then invited to play an instrument, allowing the sound and vibration to carry their intention into the shared space. “The key is minimal structure, no performance, no group timing — just a flowing, meditative soundscape created by guests,” added Ramon. “Studies have shown that sound healing helps reduce stress, tension and anxiety while improving spiritual wellbeing.” “We created these rituals in response to a growing need from our guests for acts of self-care that brought them together with others,” said Ramon. Eschewing quick fixes for long term change, over the last few years TIA has added more services that support guests once they leave the resort. In 2025 they launched WELL with TIA, a wellbeing YouTube channel with yoga, breathwork, and HIIT classes for use at home. The team have now also launched ‘Letters to Your Future Self,’ where guests come together to reflect and write a personal letter to themselves during their stay at TIA. The practice encourages guests to capture how they feel, what they are releasing, and what they wish to carry forward. During the half hour session, held each Sunday at 5pm, guests can come and go as they finish their reflection. Each letter is then collected and mailed to the guest after departure. “This serves as a meaningful reminder of their time at TIA and the intentions they set for themselves,” said Ramon. “This act creates a lasting emotional connection that extends the wellness journey beyond the stay.” The Release and Renewal Fire Ceremony, Sound and Stillness – A Collective Resonance Ritual, and Letters to Your Future Self are complimentary activities that have been added to the resort’s comprehensive activity schedule which includes creativity classes, HITT, yoga, and breathwork sessions.
As more guests wish to bring home a reminder of the wellbeing cultivated at TIA Wellness Resort, the Vietnamese property has expanded its lifestyle boutique, refreshing the array of goods available for purchase and re-opening in a larger, brighter space. The items now available range from tea to tableware, with some of the decorative elements in the rooms such as a small gong and curtain tassels inspired by mala beads, being among the most popular items with guests. Jewellery, notebooks, tote bags, pillowcases, beach and yoga mat bags with distinct TIA designs, and affirmation cards –based on TIA’s wellbeing principles–are also part of the cornucopia of TIA-designed goods. The black and white designs come in three patterns that match the property’s ethos: Mala – inspired by the meditation tool of a mala bead necklace that invites stillness and a calm mind Splash – bold calligraphy brush stroke patterns including the hand-drawn Zen circle that reflects the idea of being daring, creative and stepping into one’s power TIA – a design that draws on the Vietnamese meaning of the property’s name “ray of light” for a design reminiscent of the sun’s rays, inspiring guests to shine, to take action. TIA recently created the TIA Signature Tea Collection, available in the store. The collection is inspired by the four pillars that guide the guest experience: Breathe, Flow, Nourish, and Create. Each blend is a thoughtful infusion of herbs and botanicals, chosen for their flavors, and therapeutic benefits. These teas are served daily at the Wellness Center, with selections changing throughout the week to support gentle detoxification, internal nourishment, and ritual enjoyment. Teas, which are available individually or as a collection, include: BREATHE, a soothing blend of chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, and passion flower, FLOW which brings together lemongrass, ginger, and licorice root to awaken digestion, NOURISH a comforting combination of peppermint, fennel, chamomile, and ginger, CREATE an uplifting blend of butterfly pea flower, mint, and stevia, and WELLNESS, a grounding mix of green tea, daisy flower, and jujube. While the expansion was born out of guest requests for many of the items encountered on property, it was important to the team that the goods could also act as a bridge to continue the TIA experience. “Last year we launched a YouTube channel so guests could continue with the practices they experienced at the resort once they were back home,” explained Ramon Imper, general manager of the resort. “Like the online channel, the goods we offer are another way to tap back into the feelings of a stay – whether it be a visual queue from our tableware, the taste and ritual of drinking our tea, the scent of our essential oils, or the sound from our gong.” The new lifestyle boutique is now 25% bigger than the previous space and features a simple, calming design with crisp white walls and cool tiled floors, glass panels overlooking lush tropical gardens, and archways–a signature design element of the property.

“Like the online channel, the goods we offer are another way to tap back into the feelings of a stay – whether it be a visual queue from our tableware, the taste and ritual of drinking our tea, the scent of our essential oils, or the sound from our gong.”

The new lifestyle boutique is now 25% bigger than the previous space and features a simple, calming design with crisp white walls and cool tiled floors, glass panels overlooking lush tropical gardens, and archways–a signature design element of the property.

TIA Wellness Resort, a holistic wellbeing-focused resort along Vietnam’s central coast, has landed two coveted spots on the annual Readers’ Choice Awards for Condé Nast Traveler. TIA was recognized as the number ten spa resort globally in the ‘Top 20 Destination Spa Resorts in the World’ category. The resort was the only property in Vietnam to be called out on the spa resort list and one of just two in Southeast Asia to make the top ten cut. The property also landed the number 17 spot in the ‘Best Destination Spas in the US & Around the World’ list. It was the only one from Vietnam and one of just three wellness-focused resorts in Southeast Asia that made the list. More than 575,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the United States submitted responses rating their travel experiences across the globe to offer a comprehensive look at the places they eagerly anticipate revisiting. The Readers’ Choice Awards, with their unparalleled legacy as the travel industry’s longest-running and most prestigious accolades, remain the ultimate symbol and acknowledgment of excellence within the travel sector. “This is the first time a property from Vietnam has landed in the top ten of Condé Nast Traveler’s Destination Spa Resort category,” said Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. “I believe this speaks volumes to how Vietnam, and our property in particular, is earning its place on the map as a next-level wellness destination.” “We have a rich history of wellness practices here in Vietnam along with an abundance of natural and cultural resources and competitive pricing,” added Ramon. “This makes us stand out on the global stage.” TIA Wellness Resort, situated along the picturesque coastline of DaNang, Vietnam, was created in response to a need for true all-encompassing wellness, rather than just relaxation, out of a resort stay. The resort embraces a total wellness approach from creating personalized retreat programs to wellness-inclusive stays with spa treatments included. At the heart of the property is a 22-treatment room wellness center, set in an expansive oasis of tropical gardens with its own adults-only swimming pool. The wellness space features multiple studios for yoga, breathwork and HIIT classes, along with relaxation areas. The team also offers daily creativity classes to spark imagination and self-connection. TIA employs 60 wellness therapists along with seven certified yoga instructors, eight breathwork specialists, six creative workshop facilitators, and four HIIT workout trainers. The restaurants offer wellness-based menus that are nourishing and not restrictive and the culinary team emphasizes plant-based dining. Each of the 87 villas at the property features a private plunge pool. The 2024 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issue.

The idea of yin and yang has long held court in leading a healthy lifestyle. Stillness needs to be balanced with movement and periods of introspection with outward expression. Staying true to this concept, TIA Wellness Resort, a leader in mind and body wellness along Vietnam’s central coast, has expanded its exercise offerings and added a new studio to its wellness center. Moving beyond what many have come to expect from a wellness retreat, TIA is now also including more powerful workouts in its line-up from dynamic styles of yoga to High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workouts. The changes follow-on from a re-imagining of the hotel gym in September last year. TIA opened two distinct and separate gyms: one around the theme of stillness which was built around the concept of going inwards and cultivating calm and peace, the other around the splash theme which is all about strength, power training, and pushing limits. The new additions to the activity schedule also reflect the two opposites. “Our new wellness activity program is inspired by the feedback and recommendations from our guests,”explained Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. “We have seen an increasing demand for yoga over the past two years, attracting both experienced practitioners and novices to our daily classes. On a global-scale we’ve seen high-intensity workouts continue to rise in popularity.” The new HIIT Power Workout is built around short bursts of intense exercise followed by brief periods of rest. This 30-minute workout focuses more on building cardiovascular health, increasing metabolism, and enhancing strength. The workout has been designed without equipment so that guests may continue their wellness journey at home. The resort has also introduced a second yoga class to its daily line-up. For guests who are new to yoga or prefer a gentler practice, a new 60-minute Gentle Hatha Class is now offered in the afternoon. This is a slower-paced practice, in contrast to the more dynamic and fluid vinyasa-style yoga class offered in the mornings, focuses on holding postures, flexibility, and breath control. Guests can also practice the two different yoga sessions together, to balance an active practice with a more gentle one. Two other signatures of TIA’s well-rounded wellness offering are the Breathwork Masterclass, focusing on powerful heart-centered breathing techniques to restore balance and quiet mental chatter; and the Creative Workshop which involves different artistic techniques, such as collage, drawing, and painting, as a path to greater self expression. “With these diverse offerings, our program now ranges from low to high-intensity classes, providing various physical and mental health benefits,” added Ramon. “Our goal is to equip guests with new skills and practices they can continue at home, ensuring their well-being extends beyond their holiday.” To meet the growing demand TIA has introduced a second wellness studio and renovated their existing one, so they can welcome more guests to their daily wellness activities and offer more private classes. In addition to the 60 wellness therapists, TIA’s team consists of seven certified yoga instructors, eight breathwork specialists, six creative workshop facilitators, and four HIIT workout trainers. “Our comprehensive and accessible wellness program is designed to cater to diverse preferences and levels, ensuring every guest finds a path to enhanced well-being,” said Ramon.

TIA Wellness Resort in DaNang is painting a new image of a well-rounded, wellbeing approach with the launch of a new art gallery space this month. Building on the tool of creativity as a way to calm the mind and regulate emotions, the new gallery will sit alongside TIA’s Creative Space, where daily creativity workshops are hosted. The new gallery space features 32 images of varying shapes and sizes with 10 on display on the room’s walls and 22 hanging from purpose-built rods connecting the pillars in the inner part of the space. The 10 photographs were created by Jeff Courdrec, a French artisan photographer who used an analogue technique for this exclusive collaboration with TIA. Each image on display tells part of TIA’s story. Central to the TIA story are the concepts of stillness and splash. These diametrical themes thread the property, from a mala bead design on a pillow inspired by stillness to the splash- inspired gym, with its focus on strength, power training, and pushing limits in a dark charcoal interior. The artwork on display delves more deeply into the resort’s overall “From Stillness to Splash” wellness philosophy. The abstract art in the inner part of the new gallery reflects the Zen Splash concept, which is about inspiration, boldness, and creation. These ink images were created by a Hoi An-based calligrapher, Nguyễn Xuân Sinh. At the heart of the space is a seating arrangement that mimics the stroke of a brush and acts as an invitation for guests to sit back and take in the images in a relaxed fashion. “We wanted to create a space where our guests could reflect, connect and be inspired,” said Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. The TIA team plans to showcase a variety of inspirational and bold art in the future, to further support and connect with Vietnamese artisans.

A country’s cuisine is a gateway to the local culture – one that allows travelers to get a taste for what a place is all about. With the launch of TIA Wellness Resort’s new Vietnamese BBQ and Seafood BBQ buffets guests are getting just that in Danang. For each special evening The Dining Room becomes an Insta-dream with decor transporting guests back to a retro Vietnam, during Vietnam night, and a nautical design for the Seafood BBQ evening. The abundant Vietnamese BBQ buffet includes delicacies from north to south so guests can experience more than just the local dishes. You’ll find options popular with tourists, like a Banh Mi station and fresh spring roll station where guests choose their own fillings. The array of cuisine dives deeper than mainstream fare. To give guests a more authentic experience, the culinary team added dishes like snails in spicy butter, and Banh Can, a dish originally from the Cham ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province in Southeast Vietnam. And to give the dish a taste of TIA, the chef grills quail eggs in porcelain dishes with diners choosing the seafood of choice for the topping. The BBQ station, where items are chosen and cooked on the spot, highlights local seafood with tiger prawns and mini lobster, as well as options like pork ribs and chicken skewers. Following the property’s wellness ethos there is a large selection of salads including corn, coconut and crab salad with spicy pork; cabbage salad with seaweed and calamari; and lotus root salad with chili shrimp. Behind the scenes the team also refrains from using processed ingredients and white sugar and flour. Desserts include items like jackfruit and chia mousse and fresh local fruit among several other sweet treats. The Seafood BBQ is an ocean feast with locally caught fish and seafood grilled in front of guests. The options range from scallops in a garlic butter sauce to tiger prawns with kaffir lime to red snapper in banana leaf and a wok-fried soft shell crab station. Japanese-style selections include a live Sashimi and Temaki station. Salads are also in abundance including rainbow coleslaw, Asian edamame salad and a mix of seafood-based salads. The desert station offers treats from around the globe, such as strawberry mochi, egg tartlets and matcha chocolate popsicles. “TIA is known for health and wellness, especially when it comes to our menus,” explained Ramon Imper, general manager of the resort. “While we believe you should eat light to feel bright, we also believe that we all need to treat ourselves sometimes and experience new foods. Because of this we’ve chosen to offer these BBQs just once a week rather than daily, and we always use local, organic produce, locally-sourced seafood and the highest quality ingredients all round.” The Vietnamese BBQ buffet and Seafood BBQ buffet are both held once a week (check with the hotel for exact dates) from 6pm – 9pm at The Dining Room. Prices start at VND 1,250,000 ++ per person. https://tiawellnessresort.com/en/

As we celebrate the start of the year of the dragon this February, TIA Wellness Resort in Danang, Vietnam is embracing the mythical creature’s traits with a one-of-a-kind lunar new year program for visitors. “Our Tet [Lunar New Year] activities are inspired by the dragon’s symbolism for strength, good fortune and transformation,” said Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. “Given that the Lunar New Year is a time of renewal and new beginnings, we wanted all that we offered to cultivate prosperity, reflection and fresh starts.” Mindful Activities to Start the Year of the Dragon Guests can pick and choose what they’d like to join over the three days of Tet celebrations. The festivities begin on Friday, February 9th with “Reflection of the Year of the Rabbit” at 2:30pm. This creative workshop is designed to help participants reflect on the past year, express gratitude for all the experiences from the last twelve months and move forward afresh. The evening brings a “Wishing Lantern Ceremony” at 7pm. Guests will come together for a mindful ceremony amidst the property’s lush, tropical wellness garden and set intentions for a prosperous year ahead. On Saturday, February 10th the TIA team will host a 45-minute “Sunrise Beach Gratitude Meditation” at 6am. To nature’s soundtrack of waves against the shore, participants will cultivate positive energy through a gratitude meditation. Practicing gratitude is a science-backed way to help people feel more positive, improve health, and build stronger relationships. At 9:30am rhythmic drums will be the background music for a traditional dragon dance, where performers will parade around the resort’s main pool and restaurant in a ritual that is believed to drive away evil spirits and bring good luck and blessings. Guests also have the option to visit a local pagoda at 11am where they’ll pick their lucky number and receive a fortune for the year ahead. The pagoda visit, inclusive of transport, is complimentary. On Sunday, February 11th an early morning excursion is planned for the Marble Mountains, a cluster of limestone hills named after the elements. At 6am guests will depart before the crowds arrive to explore the ancient caves, intricate pagodas, offer prayers for the year ahead and show thankfulness for the year that has passed. Lunar New Year Nourishment at TIA The “Sweet Tet Afternoon Tea” at 3pm on Sunday was designed to introduce traditional sweets eaten during the holiday, show the significance of sharing, and spark conversations about this important day in Vietnamese culture. “Food is a quintessential element of celebrating Tet in Vietnam,” explained Ramon. “Many dishes hold significance and are often as much an offering as they are to be enjoyed.” From February 9th – 13th the wellness resort is offering three special menus at The Dining Room along with themed buffets. On the 9th, 11th and 13th they’re serving up a Traditional Vietnamese Family Style Tet tasting menu with dishes including an abalone and sea ginseng soup, fish cakes on sugarcane with fresh herbs and pickles, and a rich beef stew served in a clay pot. Guests can also choose between The Dragon Feast Tasting Menu and its plant-based equivalent. The first highlights local seafood with saffron snow fish soup and fresh lobster in a ginger scallion sauce on the menu. The plant-based option includes a coconut green soup with spicy chickpeas and a creamy vegetable risotto. The five course menus range in price and start at VND 1,600,000 ++ per person, VND 2,600,000 ++ inclusive of a curated organic wine pairing. On February 10th there will be a seafood buffet and a piano performance for VND 1,250,000 ++ per person, with an array of freshly-caught seafood such as lobsters, oysters and prawns. An Asian BBQ buffet on the 12th offers an abundance of flavors from around the region and a Vietnamese band providing live music. Each day of Tet the Ocean Bistro is serving up an Oyster and Champagne feast with prices starting from VND 990,000 ++ for 2 people.
Guests can pick and choose what they’d like to join over the three days of Tet celebrations.

“Food is a quintessential element of celebrating Tet in Vietnam,” explained Ramon. “Many dishes hold significance and are often as much an offering as they are to be enjoyed.”

From February 9th – 13th the wellness resort is offering three special menus at The Dining Room along with themed buffets.

A Vietnam beachfront escape, TIA Wellness Resort, is embracing nourishing raw food cuisine, detox therapies, and holistic wellbeing practices from sound healing to private yoga sessions in its new retreat package “Body & Mind Cleanse” launching this month. The four-night or seven-night offering draws from different healing modalities so guests can detox and release toxins from the body, while also improving vitality through letting go of what’s holding them back on a mental level. A key element of the new package is intermittent fasting, a practice where all the food consumed in a day is eaten during an eight-hour window. Giving the digestive system 16 hours of rest in a 24-hour cycle is associated with improved digestive health and overall wellbeing. When the fast is broken guests follow a plant-based raw food meal plan, designed to give them more energy, vitality and nutrients. Following a diet rich in raw vegetables and fresh fruit is believed to have a myriad of benefits as it aids in balancing the body, strengthening immunity and fighting inflammation (a driver in many chronic diseases). The carefully-crafted meal plan is paired with a full schedule of healthy activities each day. “We designed this retreat so guests could empower the body to release toxins and move towards a more vibrant, and healthy lifestyle,” explained Ramon Imper, general manager of the resort. “Although the gut plays an important role, it is one part of a greater system so a lot of the work we do during the program is geared towards liberating the mind from clutter, overthinking, and stress. We want the detox to occur on more than just a physical level.” While the schedule varies each day, with new practices and treatments, a typical day on the program starts with a private yoga lesson at 7am to activate oxygen flow and heat in the body. This is followed by a treatment in the wellness center, such as a Lymphatic Detox session, Bamboo Rollout treatment, or Heart Stone Therapy. A private breathwork session, one of the most powerful yet easily accessible practices and a core of TIA’s overall offering, rounds out the morning before an 11am breakfast of a smoothie bowl, such as the Sunrise Smoothie Bowl, a refreshing blend of papaya, orange, mango, turmeric, banana, chia seeds, almonds, and coconut flakes. Guests can then enjoy the property, with its tropical gardens and two expansive pools (each villa also has its own private plunge pool), before a three-course raw lunch at 1.30pm. Dishes include creative fare like Beetroot Ravioli, filled with cashews and garlic herbs, served on avocado carpaccio; along with decadent and nutritious desserts such as raw Banoffee Trifle, consisting of finely blended nuts, dates and fresh bananas. There’s an optional creativity workshop that starts at 3pm, which takes an artistic approach to self-healing; followed by the Detox Hydrotherapy Circuit or Sound Healing Therapy. At 5:30pm there’s an opportunity for a 30-minute Tai Chi session before a 6pm two-course raw dinner. The day ends with a treatment of the guest’s choice from a broad array, ranging from facials to massages. The Lymphatic Detox and Detox Hydro Circuit Therapy were both added to TIA’s offerings earlier this year with this retreat package in mind. The Detox Hydro Circuit Therapy is a 60-minute detox journey, which consists of a herbal steam, a hydrotherapy massage, coffee and salt body scrub, a sauna, and an ice bath (also a recent addition). Each step is guided by a skilled spa therapist. The Lymphatic Detox, is an 80-minute offering that uses rhythmic strokes to target the lymph nodes to support lymphatic drainage and stimulate the body’s natural detoxification process. For guests who opt for the seven-night option, day three starts early with a trip to the Marble Mountains, five karsts named for the five elements. This sacred spot, near the property, is famous for its lofty caves with religious relics and is the location for a private yoga class before the crowds set in. The experience is a variation on the new TIA Tours they launched in August, which are curated wellness experiences at nearby points of spiritual and cultural significance around the themes of Nourish (food), Flow (move), Breathe, and Create. “This is more than just a quick fix,” added Ramon. “We created this retreat to equip our guests with the skills and motivation to continue what they learned during their time here when they’re back at home.” The Body & Mind Cleanse is available year-round. Prices start as USD 2,694++ per person for the four-night stay and USD 4,221++ for the seven-night option. For more information, visit: https://tiawellnessresort.com/en/private-retreats .

TIA Wellness Resort, a tranquil, wellness-focused property situated along Vietnam’s central coastline in Danang, is rolling out two new transformative wellness treatments that do more than just release aches and pains. The Lymphatic Detox and Detox Hydro Circuit Therapy were both added to meet an increasing demand for wellness therapies that help people internally reset and release toxins. The Detox Hydro Circuit Therapy is a unique offering that takes guests on a 60-minute detox journey. The treatment takes place in its own dedicated area of the wellness center that features a relaxation space, with cushy oversized chairs overlooking a serene garden; a herbal steam room, where the treatment begins; a stone shower bed, for the hydrotherapy massage and the coffee and salt body scrub portion of the treatment; a sauna; and an ice bath. Each step is guided by a skilled spa therapist and refreshing detox water is provided throughout. The therapy ends with foot reflexology to further stimulate the detox process. The invigorating ice bath, which TIA introduced specifically for this therapy, helps reduce inflammation and promote immunity. Guests will take two two-minute cold plunges during the session, one after the herbal steam and one after the sauna. This will take full advantage of the powerful benefits, like firing up the lymphatic system, that come from switching between hot and cold temperatures. “Both cold water therapy and sauna, which involve exposure to temperatures at both extremes, have so many advantages. From the immediate boost of energy and letting go of fatigue to the more invisible work it does on the inside to keep us healthy and vibrant,” said Ramon Imper, the general manager of TIA Wellness Resort. “We are always looking for ways we can continue to level-up our wellness offering for guests and the addition of an ice bath and the treatment we’ve crafted around it is one way we’re continuing to evolve in the wellness space.” The therapy is included for Retreat Inclusive guests, who benefit from one retreat therapy and two wellness therapies per night, along with full-board with plant-based cuisine, breathwork classes, creativity sessions, and Tai Chi and yoga practices. For those not on a retreat plan it is offered as a payable therapy. The Lymphatic Detox is a new signature treatment available to all Wellness Inclusive guests at TIA Wellness Resort. This 80-minute offering uses rhythmic strokes targeting the lymph nodes to support lymphatic drainage and stimulate the body’s natural detoxification process. Wellness Inclusive guests can also enjoy TIA’s broad range of breathwork, creativity, and embodiment practices such as Tai Chi and yoga. Accommodation is in a one-bedroom pool villa with a complimentary wellness mini bar, featuring homemade healthy snacks, and an all-day breakfast on offer. Rates for Wellness Inclusive stays start at USD 450 ++ per villa and the price for the Detox Hydro Circuit Therapy is USD 60 ++. For more information visit: https://tiawellnessresort.com/en/

Moving beyond yoga and massage, TIA Wellness Resort is harnessing the power of breath, art, energy healing, and nourishing plant-based cuisine in its new ‘Creative Healing Retreat,’ launching this month. The four- or seven-night offering is designed to alleviate stress or anxiety in guests who feel their life and emotions have become imbalanced and who want to improve their wellbeing, to release negative feelings and to feel more vibrant and centered. The private retreat is offered year-round allowing guests to book-in at a time that suits their schedule. “People want to go deeper, they want to get more from their holidays than just time on the beach or in the spa,” said Ramon Imper, general manager of TIA Wellness. “They want to use their time away to reflect, reenergize and reimagine their everyday life.” The retreat begins before guests arrive with a pre-arrival consultation, wellness guidance, and intention setting, through the newly-launched TIA app. Once on site the program draws on three main elements that are offered daily: Reiki, creative art workshops, and breathwork. All healing techniques are prominent practices that are gaining recognition for their ability to help people self-heal. The first pillar, Reiki, is a form of energy healing developed in Japan. It has become more mainstream as a wellness tool and is now common in western hospitals as an alternative medicine. The practice, which embraces the idea that we are more than just our physical body, works by releasing emotional and mental blocks that we hold onto on an energetic level. The second pillar of creativity draws from the idea that just as people learn differently, people release emotions differently. Creative workshops use art exercises to help participants reflect, express and release stress and negativity. The third pillar harnesses the power of the breath, the easiest self-help tool that is always available. Mindful daily breathing gives rise to a myriad of benefits from regulating blood pressure and improving immune system function to creating calm, peaceful feelings. The above techniques are complemented by daily therapies at the 22-treatment room wellness center, which is at the heart of the property. These take the form of aromatherapy massages and Himalayan heart stone treatments to relieve tense muscles and promote calm. Sound healing is also offered through singing bowl sessions, with the soothing, meditative frequencies working through vibration and sound to induce a deep feeling of peace and relaxation. Yoga and Tai Chi are optional extras available each day. A plant-based meal plan is an essential part of the retreat, ensuring participants get the full benefit from the program through balanced nutrition. The property follows an ‘Eat light, feel bright’ food philosophy that highlights nutrient-dense, whole foods. The biggest meal of the day is breakfast with the smallest number of courses on offer at dinner. While the four-night option centers on time at the property, and in the wellness center, the seven-night stay incorporates exploration of the destination and putting some of the practices learned into play in local places of spiritual significance. For example a private Tai Chi session in the Marble Mountains, five limestone and marble peaks named for the five elements; and meditation at Lady Buddha, Vietnam’s tallest Buddha statue, is included in the week-long itinerary. “We are equipped with all we need to self-heal but sometimes we need a little guidance and to step away from the demands of daily life in order to do that,” said Ramon. “We provide a safe and supportive container here at TIA and the tools needed to help our guests come back to a more balanced state, and to take those feelings and practices after they leave.” The TIA app also has practices and reminders for guests after their stay. TIA Wellness Resort is situated along a picturesque stretch of powdery sand in Da Nang. The property features 87 private pool villas and two expansive pools, an infinity pool overlooking the ocean and a quiet adults-only pool within the wellness center. TIA also has a full fitness center, in addition to a yoga studio and meditation room. Prices for the four-night retreat starts from USD 2,753++ and a seven-night stay starts at USD 4,353++ (available for single occupancy only) For more information visit: https://tiawellnessresort.com/private-retreats/ or email wellness@tiawellnessresort.com
