<p>Disasters often strike without warning, leaving behind devastating consequences. The aftermath can be even more challenging, as communities struggle to rebuild and return to normal. In such times, swift support from all sectors is essential to help those affected recover and regain stability. Nan province recently experienced its worst flood in decades following severe storms. Within hours, the entire town was submerged, bringing daily life to a standstill. Electricity, water supply, and public services were abruptly cut off. Although the provincial hospital continued caring for existing patients, it was forced to stop accepting new ones and relocate its emergency services to a safer location. While floodwaters receded within four to five days, they left behind thick mud and piles of debris, making cleanup and recovery efforts even more difficult. Nissan Thailand was among the first in the private sector to respond. In collaboration with its local dealer, Siam Nissan Muang Nan, the company quickly mobilized to support relief efforts and help restore normalcy to the town. The first stop for Nissan’s assistance was Nan Hospital. Anticipating the challenges ahead—as the hospital would need to care for both existing patients and new arrivals in the aftermath of the flood—Nissan Thailand delivered essential office and medical equipment for use in patient wards. This support has helped the hospital operate more efficiently, enabling faster and smoother service delivery while improving public access to quality healthcare. The next stop was Thai Rath Wittaya 45 Ban Don Thaen School in Wiang Sa District, Nan Province. Nissan provided teaching and learning materials, allowing the school to quickly resume its educational activities and bring students back to the classroom sooner. This assistance is part of the “Nissan Cares: Flood Relief Support Campaign”, one of Nissan’s ongoing contributions to Thai society, where the company has operated for over 73 years. It complements Nissan’s broader efforts to support social, economic, and mobility development, all aimed at enriching people’s lives. In addition, Nissan launched the “Nissan Cares: Flood Relief Support Campaign” to assist customers affected by the recent flooding in the province. Running from today through December 31, 2025, the campaign offers a 30% discount on parts, chemicals, lubricants, and decorative items damaged in the flood. The support provided to the hospital, school, and affected customers reflects Nissan Thailand’s strong commitment to social responsibility and the promotion of an inclusive society. As an integral part of the Thai community, Nissan remains dedicated to standing alongside Thailand and its people through every challenge.
