Bangkok’s rooftop scene is about to get a vibrant Spanish twist. On September 26, 2025, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar at INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit in Thailand celebrates its second anniversary with an evening inspired by the Eat Spain, Drink Spain concept. Located on the hotel’s 33rd floor, the anniversary event begins at 4:00 pm and promises a lively mix of authentic Spanish tapas, sangria, cocktails, and entertainment. Guests will be treated to premium products from Spain, complemented by the rhythms of a live guitarist and DJ performance, creating a festive yet elegant atmosphere high above the bustling streets of Sukhumvit. The celebration continues at 7:30 pm when the party moves one floor higher to the Giant Swing Pool Bar on the 34th floor. Here, the mood becomes even more dynamic, with draft beers, signature cocktails, more music, and breathtaking 360-degree city views. The rooftop also features a transparent infinity pool and a modern interpretation of Bangkok’s iconic Brahman Giant Swing, making it one of the most photogenic spots in the city. Guests are encouraged to follow the Smart Casual dress code, with a playful nod to the colors red, blue, and black, reflecting the evening’s Spanish theme. Whether you’re a lover of Spanish gastronomy, a cocktail enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys panoramic cityscapes, this anniversary celebration offers a unique fusion of Mediterranean flair and Bangkok energy. Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by email at luz@innsidebangkok.com or by phone at +66 (0)2 340 5498.
A fun and colourful dining experience designed to “pack a punch on the senses”, INNSiDE By Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit’s 31st floor all-day dining restaurant The Kites Eatery has launched “Pinto Lunch Set”. Served in multi-coloured, round traditional Thai lunch boxes, named “pinto”, the four-course set lunch celebrates authentic Thai home-cooking with a starter, main course, side dish and dessert. There are three different four-course sets to choose from, dubbed “Pinto Bang Rak”, “Pinto Banglamphu” and “Pinto Sao Chingcha”. All begin with “Nam Phrik”, a seasonal Thai dip with local vegetables. Pinto Bang Rak features starter “Moo Tod Kamin” deep-fried pork belly with fish sauce and herbs, side dish “Tod Mun Pla Yang” charcoal grilled Thai fish cake, and main course “Gang Phed Ped” sous vide duck in red curry with seasonal fruit and basil. Pinto Banglamphu’s starter, side dish and main are “Gai Yang Takrai” grilled chicken marinated with lemongrass, “Kai Jiew” authentic Thai omelette, and “Massaman Nuea” slow-cooked beef with aromatic herbs, respectively. Pinto Sao Chingcha comprises starter “Laab Moo Tod” fried minced pork balls marinated with Thai herbs and spices, side dish “Pla Phad Phrik Thai Dam” stir-fried fish with black pepper, and main dish “Kai Palo Khun Mae”, executive chef Katisak Pinkaew’s mother’s recipe, made of egg and chicken cooked in sweet brown soup. All three Pinto Lunch Sets’ main courses are served with “Khao Hom Mali” steamed jasmine rice. The dining experience is rounded off with “Khong Wan” daily desserts such as local coconut ice-cream, rice noodles with coconut cream, grass jelly with ice and brown sugar, or water chestnuts in coconut milk. “Served against a backdrop of soaring windows giving way to spectacular views of Bangkok, our Pinto Lunch Sets pack a punch on the senses,” said the hotel’s general manager Aarron Nelson. “As you open the pinto boxes with various dishes that make for a riot of colour, the aromas are disarming and the tastes and textures of our fresh, local ingredients in our home-cooked, tried and true recipes can’t be beat.” “You’re not only enjoying a meal but also a cultural journey. Pintos are traditionally used to transport home-cooked meals to work or school, maintaining the freshness and flavors of the food. The meticulous preparation and presentation of each dish reflect the Thai values of harmony and balance,” he added. Offered daily from 12-3pm, a Pinto Lunch Set is priced at THB 300 net. The Kites Eatery is adorned with abstract artwork of kites – a reference to the popular pastime of kite flying in state park Sanam Luang. Tapping local roots with fresh, colourful Thai cuisine, the restaurant’s chefs serve up central, northern, north-eastern and southern Thai cuisine a la minute using quality ingredients sourced from local farms. Open from 6.30am-11pm, The Kites Eatery offers a healthy buffet breakfast and a la carte menu from noon, as well as customised lunches and banquets for meetings and events.
Thailand’s first INNSiDE hotel is turning one this month, marking the milestone with discounts on room rates and dining, a giveaway campaign and fundraising to support education for disadvantaged children. Reaching 34 floors and towering over Bangkok’s trendy On Nut neighborhood, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit debuted on July 7 last year with a design that draws inspiration from some of Bangkok’s most famous landmarks. The 208-room hotel cut the ribbon on a host of remarkable facilities, ranging from a sky-high transparent infinity pool and rooftop tapas bar to integrated co-working spaces and playful meeting rooms and multifunctional areas. Part of a collection of unique urban and beach hotels in 14 different countries designed for those with curious minds who cultivate a fluid lifestyle when it comes to work and leisure, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit is celebrating its first anniversary in the following ways: – Guests receive 10 percent and 20 percent discounts on room rates for INNSiDE Rooms and The Townhouse accommodations respectively (subject to availability). Bookings must be made directly to reservations on +66 2 340 5499 or via social media messaging on Instagram and Facebook with promocode ‘1ANNIV’ by July 31 this year for stays until October 31, 2024. The hotel’s Instagram and Facebook pages are https://www.instagram.com/innsidebangkok/ and https://www.facebook.com/InnsideBangkok – Guests who have booked the 1ANNIV promotion also enjoy 10% off dining at the hotel’s LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar and The Kites Eatery during their stay. – A social media giveaway campaign will offer three complimentary one-night stay prizes with dining credits. Participants must answer the hotel’s Facebook post question “What’s your favorite spot at our hotel and why?” and like, share and set their repost as public to enter the competition. Winners will be announced on July 29 this year. – Guests are encouraged to make a voluntary contribution of USD 1 (THB 35) or more during check-out to provide funds to support education for disadvantaged children. Offering authentic Spanish tapas, wines, beer on tap, cocktails and signature sangrias, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar invites diners to embark on a culinary pilgrimage across Spain, to a backdrop of sweeping vistas of Bangkok’s skyline. A spectacle unlike any other in Bangkok, tapas bar guests on the 33rd floor peer into the bottom of the hotel’s infinity pool. The tapas bar’s design, including its striking angled lines and cabling, pay tribute to Bangkok landmark, Rama VIII Bridge. In addition to drawing on Meliá’s Spanish origins and celebrating Spain’s gastronomy, the hotel’s dining landscape taps local roots with fresh, colourful Thai cuisine. The chefs at all-day dining venue The Kites Eatery serve up central, northern, north-eastern and southern Thai cuisine a la minute using quality ingredients sourced from local farms. The Kites Eatery’s chic setting is also dominated by soaring windows giving way to stunning views of Bangkok. Since its grand opening, the hotel has been making waves in Bangkok and beyond, receiving recognition and accolades from the likes of Hong Kong-based Destination Deluxe and UK-based Luxury Lifestyle Magazine. New York City-based Luxury Lifestyle Awards recently lauded the hotel as this year’s leading luxury bleisure hotel in Bangkok. “Our property has quickly become a flagship for the rest of Asia and we have been attracting younger, purpose-driven travellers from Thailand, Asia and across the globe,” said the hotel’s general manager Aarron Nelson. “Our hotel is all about connecting with people; we offer a product that has a lot of storytelling behind it with something different on every floor of the hotel. In addition to our creative meeting rooms and a unique blend of functionality and style across every inch of our multifunctional areas, our location makes us ideal for MICE planners. We are close to Bangkok’s two major convention centres as well as EmQuartier and True Digital Park, which both have convention spaces.” The hotel’s management and staff will celebrate the first anniversary on July 6 with almsgiving, Trimurti shrine worship, a monk ceremony at Fah Room and offerings to monks.

Towering over Bangkok’s trendy On Nut neighbourhood, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit’s awe-inspiring rooftop tapas bar has crafted an exciting new menu, accompanied with views of both the city … and the bottom of a transparent swimming pool. Offering authentic tapas, Spanish wines, beer on tap, cocktails and signature sangrias, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar’s new menu takes diners on a culinary pilgrimage across Spain, with a dynamic variety of local Thai ingredients and influences embellished with Spanish flavours. The vibrant new menu comprises 30 dishes across four sections; ‘LUZ Tapas’, ‘Chef’s Tapas Selection’, ‘LUZ Signature’ and ‘Momento Dulce’. The LUZ Tapas section items range from white Spanish anchovies cured in vinegar, and ‘Gazpacho’ tomato and capsicum cold soup with olive oil, to a ‘La Tabla’ of Spanish cured meats and cheese – Iberico ham, chorizo, fuet, Manchego and Maho cheese. Tuna tartare with cold tomato soup, seabass sashimi with spicy pickled chilli sauce, and salmon with mango and passion fruit dressing are among the Chef’s Tapas Selection dishes. LUZ Signature dishes include grilled octopus with mashed potatoes, paprika and Extra Virgin olive oil, a 350-gram grilled Australian Ribeye steak, homemade fries, piquillo peppers and Padron peppers, and creamy rice with wild mushrooms, beetroot and optional truffle. Three desserts including crispy Spanish churros with rich chocolate sauce round out the menu. By night the hotel’s 34th floor, featuring a pool bar, transparent infinity pool, and rooftop terrace dotted with outdoor lounges, sunbeds and a compelling contemporary interpretation of Bangkok’s Brahman structure The Giant Swing, all become an upper-floor extension of 33rd floor LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar. In a spectacle unlike any other in Bangkok, tapas bar guests on the 33rd floor peer into the bottom of the infinity pool and can watch fellow guests swim laps. The tapas bar’s design, including its striking angled lines and cabling, pay tribute to another iconic Bangkok landmark, Rama VIII Bridge. “‘Luz’ means ‘light’ in Spanish, and since our hotel’s debut in July last year, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar has become a beacon of Spanish culture and cuisine which keeps getting brighter and brighter on Bangkok’s skyline with a new menu of irresistible choices,” said the hotel’s general manager Aarron Nelson. LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar is open daily from 4pm until midnight. In addition to drawing on Meliá’s Spanish origins and celebrating Spain’s gastronomy, the hotel’s dining landscape taps local roots with fresh, colourful Thai cuisine. The chefs at all-day dining venue “The Kites Eatery”, open from 6.30am-11pm, serve up central, northern, north-eastern and southern Thai cuisine a la minute using quality ingredients sourced from local farms. INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit is the newest member of an eclectic collection of urban and beach INNSiDE hotels — in 14 different countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas — designed for those with curious minds who have a fluid lifestyle when it comes to work and leisure. Situated at 1472 Sukhumvit Road, the new On Nut hotel is a 30-minute ride from Suvarnabhumi Airport and close to an array of services and attractions suited to business and leisure travellers including the On Nut BTS Skytrain station and Bangkok’s largest convention centre, BITEC.

The new INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit will celebrate its first festive season with delectable Spanish menus, buffet feasts and a sky-high countdown party, all accompanied with sweeping views of Bangkok’s skyline and a distinct Ibiza vibe. After its debut in July this year in Bangkok’s lively On Nut neighbourhood, the 208-room urban lifestyle hotel, with an array of remarkable facilities, ranging from a transparent infinity pool and authentic Spanish tapas bar to integrated co-working spaces, will host its festive program from Dec. 24, 2023 to Jan. 1, 2024. The hotel’s festive program’s dress code is ‘Ibiza glam’; think flowing white dresses, shirts, and pants, with a touch of glitter and gold. Commanding the hotel’s uppermost floors – the 33rd and 34th floors – LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar will take diners on a culinary journey of Spain with exquisite set menus crafted by Spanish chef Laia Ferrer from 6-10pm on Dec. 24, 25, 31 and Jan. 1. Wine pairing is optional. After 10pm on each night, an after-party with live music and a DJ spinning tunes will continue until late. LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar’s Christmas Eve and Christmas Day four-course set menu kicks off with ‘refreshing cherry and tomato soup with olive oil caviar’, followed by ‘turbot with saffron sauce and asparagus’. After ‘cannelloni with truffle bechamel’, dessert is ‘traditional Spanish nougat made with nuts’. The New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day five-course menu begins with starters ‘zucchini pesto topped with truffle and flowers’, ‘creamy lobster croquette with caviar’, and ‘red prawn tartar with lemon gel and sea water’. ‘Aguachile with avocado grill, sweet corn and mango’, ‘turbot with saffron sauce and asparagus’, and ‘slow-cooked beef short ribs, truffle mash potatoes and homemade gravy’ are rounded out with ‘sparkling Spanish wine and chocolate’ for dessert. By night the hotel’s Giang Swing Pool Bar, with a compelling contemporary interpretation of Bangkok’s Brahman structure and an expansive rooftop terrace dotted with outdoor lounges and sunbeds that evoke an Ibiza mood, becomes an upper-floor extension of the 33rd floor tapas bar. A spectacle unlike any other in Bangkok, tapas bar guests peer into the bottom of the hotel’s infinity pool. With its soaring windows affording spectacular views, all-day dining restaurant The Kites Eatery will serve, under the stewardship of executive chef Katisak Pinkaew, a buffet dinner on Christmas Eve from 6-10pm and New Year’s Eve buffet from 6-11pm, as well as buffet brunches from 12-3pm on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. The buffets will brim with all sorts of delights including seafood on ice, salads, cheeses, a Japanese corner with assorted sashimi, BBQ seafood, soup, noodles, a carving station with roast turkey, an array of main courses, desserts and more. Free-flow alcohol is optional. Revellers will farewell 2023 and count down the new year at the Giant Swing Bar for a night of rooftop fun and music from live DJs from 6pm on Dec. 31 until 1am on Jan. 1. A free-flow beverage package is on offer. Exclusive table packages are available for the countdown party. Packages include “Cocktail Standing” (ideal for four to six guests), “Upper Deck” (for two guests), “Lower Deck” (two to four guests), “VIP Terrace” (two to five guests) and “VIP Lounge” (four to eight guests).
Towering over Bangkok’s trendy On Nut neighbourhood, INNSiDE by Meliá Bangkok Sukhumvit has cut the ribbon on a host of remarkable facilities ranging from integrated co-working spaces to a sky-high transparent infinity pool and rooftop tapas bar. Reaching 34 floors, the 208-room hotel celebrates its grand opening this month. It is Thailand’s first ‘INNSiDE by Meliá’ hotel and the fourth Meliá Hotels International property to debut in the kingdom after nautical-themed Meliá Koh Samui, wellness-inspired Meliá Phuket Mai Khao and urban hotel Meliá Chiang Mai opened in 2020, 2021 and 2022 respectively. The lifestyle hotel’s vast 32nd floor co-working space with soaring floor-to-ceiling windows offers a front seat to Bangkok’s sweeping skyline. Five playful meeting rooms and multifunctional areas designed to encourage creativity and productivity, such as the Big Ideas Space, underpin the INNSiDE brand and lend themselves to being mixed and matched for all sorts of bespoke social and corporate events. Three diverse food and beverage outlets make for the hotel’s dynamic dining landscape. Together with the hotel’s jewel in the crown, an awe-inspiring infinity pool, The Giant Swing Pool Bar commands the 34th floor. Nestled between bar and pool, a compelling contemporary interpretation of Bangkok’s Brahman structure The Giant Swing is a dramatic photo backdrop. Adjacent to the infinity pool is an expansive rooftop terrace, dotted with outdoor lounges and sunbeds, that evokes an Ibiza mood accompanied with panoramic vistas. Open from 10am until midnight, the open-air pool bar serves Mediterranean, Thai and international snacks and dishes such as INNSiDE’s Burger and cool beverages including imaginative cocktails. By night, the pool bar becomes an upper-floor extension of the hotel’s 33rd floor LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar. Offering authentic tapas, Spanish wines, beer on tap, cocktails and signature sangrias, the tapas bar invites diners to embark on a culinary pilgrimage across Spain. Chef de Cuisine Laia Ferrer brings her Barcelona roots to the fore with a dynamic variety of local Thai ingredients embellished with Spanish flavours. A spectacle unlike any other in Bangkok, tapas bar guests peer into the bottom of the infinity pool. The tapas bar’s design, including its striking angled lines and cabling, pay tribute to another iconic Bangkok landmark, Rama VIII Bridge. Open from 4pm until midnight, LUZ Bangkok Tapas Bar’s signature dishes include Suquet de Peix Amb Romesco, Fideus a la Cassola, and Tiradito Basque. Adorned with graphic glass walls depicting state park Sanam Luang, the Kites Eatery’s chic setting is also dominated by soaring windows giving way to stunning views of Bangkok. The hotel’s chefs serve a healthy buffet breakfast and a la carte menu from noon, as well as customised lunches and banquets for meetings and events. The Kites Eatery’s not-to-be missed dishes include Kites Pad Thai and Kites Satay. A hip café and lobby bar seamlessly integrated into the 32nd floor’s coworking space, The Open Living Lounge is manned by a barista by day and bartender by night. Open from 7am-11pm, the lounge offers an easy grab-and-go menu and specialises in Thai and Western comfort food. With drink trolleys in circulation, The Open Living Lounge’s offerings include, but are not limited to, grab-and-go barista coffee, morning pastries, cold-pressed juices, kombucha, and a Spanish afternoon tea. The lounge’s design takes cues from another Bangkok landmark, Wat Phra Kaew, with, for example, a golden counter inspired by Wat Phra Kaew’s traditional Thai decorations gilded in gold leaf. Sleek, bright and predominantly white with understated rose gold accents, the hotel’s accommodations feel fresh with purpose and pizazz and offer ideal bases to retire to after a day of rummaging through Bangkok’s lively streets. Anchored by work desks and DreamMaker mattresses, in-room perks range from complimentary minibar items, organic bathroom amenities and natural cork yoga mats to 50-inch TVs, Wi-Fi and USB chargers. Rooms on the upper floors afford great views of the Thai capital. Ranging from a convenient 20 sqm to an ample 64 sqm, the hotel’s eight accommodation categories fall under two umbrellas – ‘INNSiDE Room’ and ‘The Townhouse’. The ‘INNSiDE Room King’ and ‘INNSiDE Room Twin’ are each 20 sqm and feature a king-size bed and twin beds respectively, with the ‘INNSiDE Connecting Room’ at 40 sqm when one room with a king bed connects to another with two single beds. As their names suggest, the ‘INNSiDE Room King City View’ and ‘INNSiDE Room Twin City View’, each at 20 sqm, located on the hotel’s upper floors, offer full length windows on the capital city’s constant movement. Boasting stunning city views, separate living area, bathtubs and showers, Chromecast, coffee maker and free premium minibar with local beer, ‘The Townhouse’ and ‘The Townhouse City View’ are each 40 sqm. ‘The Townhouse Two-Bedroom’ is 64 sqm. Room service is available 24/7. The hotel offers a 24-hour Infit Gym and a concierge service. Its range of sustainability efforts include a ban on single-use plastic, recycled glass bottles for drinking water and biodegradable takeaway boxes, in-room paper and plastic free collaterals and complimentary organic amenities. “Our hotel may well be the new kid on the block in Bangkok yet we offer a completely new hotel experience in one of...
