The 8th Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will return to Precinct 2 Putrajaya, south of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, again this year in March to meet the nation. The event will be held over the course of three days from March 11th to 13th, featuring another amazing line-up of international balloonists and a new variety of attractions and side events.

Mohammad Sobri Saad, Chairman of the Fiesta said “We are delighted to once again host such talented balloonists from all over the world, and offer great opportunities to brands that truly see their potential in elevating their names to an international level through our locally organized event. We believe that homegrown events like the Fiesta presents not only brands Putrajaya but the entire nation as a wholesome tourist destination in Southeast Asia.”

The launch unveiled five special shaped balloons that will be attending 2016’s Fiesta: Bobo the Happy Lobster, all the way from Belgium will be flown by Geert Van Wolvelaer, the yellow jacket Bee Balloon from Brazil flown by Francisco Naccarato, Mister Z the Zebra piloted by Jonathan Wright from United States of America and the main highlight, the Alien Rocket balloon, its first time flying in Asia, flown by Alain Bard from Canada. Other international normal-shaped balloons are from France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, South Korea, Spain, Thailand, Malaysia and Poland.

Among the exciting upgraded features of the 8th Fiesta is the Launching Field Access & Night Glow Access, where the capacity has been doubled to enable visitors to get closer to the balloons. In the Pink Zone, a dedicated yoga and Zumba session is now offered to visitors while they enjoy the enchanting view of balloons flying over them.

MyBalloonClub moves to a more prominent spot at the Blue Zone; giving its members the best view and the coziest seats in the house, and provides all access to the Fiesta ground. Premium Tethered Balloon Rides are exclusively available for purchases of this membership only.

The Presenting Sponsor for this year’s Fiesta, The Tourism Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia will be showcasing a taste of Indonesia at the Indonesian Cultural Village. Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to experience the best of Indonesian Food, Live Entertainment and Activities.
