By the time we reached the foothills bordering Khao Yai National Park, we were ready for relief. What we found at Ingphu Mountainview was more than just cooler air—it was a place where Leonardo could roam free and where our Italian friends, travelling with their two children, discovered a side of Thailand they hadn’t expected. The location is ideal for families who want to explore the park without sacrificing comfort. The moment we arrived, the temperature dropped. The air felt different here—fresher, lighter, carrying the scent of damp earth and greenery. Breakfast on the terrace became a ritual, the cool morning breeze brushing against our faces as we lingered over coffee and plates of homemade rice porridge, the kind of slow start that makes you forget the rush of city life entirely. The round shape and the transparent PVC windows at the front give the sensation of being in a proper campsite—one with comfortable beds, air conditioning, and a private bathroom, but a campsite nonetheless. At night, the dome transforms. Powered by solar panels, the lights scattered throughout the property flickered to life, so numerous that they looked like stars fallen to earth. Leonardo lay on his bed staring up at them, counting under his breath until he drifted off. Our friends stayed in one of the enormous treehouses, elevated high among the trees. Their children were beside themselves with excitement, clambering up the wooden stairs and claiming their loft space as a secret hideout. The treehouses are a signature feature of the property, and reviews frequently mention them as a highlight—one guest described theirs as “so cute nestled in amongst gorgeous trees”. Beyond the domes and treehouses, the property includes a raised platform with a staircase where guests can climb to observe the surrounding nature, and two brick structures that blend seamlessly with the resort’s aesthetic.
